Circa 1940-50’s Japanese Curved Leg Table
Beautifully maintained vintage Japanese curved leg wood table with carved apron and legs. Country of origin: Tokyo, Japan. Original shipper’s tag on bottom of table with original owner’s name/address. The original owner lived in Carlisle, PA and was married to a United States Air Force soldier who was stationed at the Tschikawa Air Force Base in Tokyo, Japan for 13 years.
Upon the death of Mr. Kearney in 1959, this table was shipped to the United States from Tokyo, Japan to Mr. Kearney’s widow, Revenda Kearney, who relocated from Japan to Carlisle, PA.
Upon the death of Revenda Kearney in 2011, the table was relocated to Fairfax, VA and placed in the home of the Kearney’s daughter, Dr. Helen Revenda Kearney. Dr. Kearney passed away in January, 2022. The table was purchased from Dr. Kearney’s estate in Fairfax, VA.
